About Tim

Tim Goodin is a singer/songwriter straight out of the Hills of South East Kentucky. He grew up wandering the hills and "hollers" of the Appalachian landscapes. It is here his love for music began. The old mountain hymnals he grew up listening to is what helped develop his unique sound. At 18, he continued in the family tradition and became the 4th generation of his family to work in the coal mines of Kentucky. After the downturn of the industry and limited economic opportunity's he and his wife Leanna decided to migrate south to Alabama, to continue his mining career in the Sand and Gravel industry.

His Debut self released EP "Son of Appalachia" Hit #11 on the iTunes Country Album Chart, #54 on the iTunes All Genres Chart and #8 on the Billboard Bluegrass Albums Chart. His follow up and Debut full length album, "True Stories and Flat Out Lies" hit #9 on the iTunes Country Albums Chart and #7 on the Billboard Bluegrass Albums Chart, it was produced by James Barker (steel and lead guitar player for Tyler Childers) in fact, Tim had several of The Food Stamps join him on this album, Craig Burletic (Bass), Rod Elkins (Drums), James Barker (Steel Guitar) and Jesse Wells (Fiddle, Mandolin, Banjo and Electric Guitar).
